Each year a scholarship of up to $5,000 is awarded to a deserving member of the Primitive Baptist Church who desires to further their education in order to better enable them to serve in the area of music and worship. This scholarship is named in honor of the first vice chairman of the Music Workshop, Nancy Patton, who died tragically in an automobile accident in 1969. Nancy’s life was dedicated to sharing the talents that God had given her for the betterment and inspiration of others. She had a particular influence on the youth of the denomination.
