The founder of Music Workshop, Mildred Simms, was an aficionado of all things related to church & choral music. With the goal of improving the worship experiences of Primitive Baptist churches and musicians, sister Mildred founded the Music Workshop in 1963. Music Workshop has been meeting annually in the summer to provide hymnal, choral, and instrumental instruction to those gathered in a series of classes held over several days.
